32nd Birthday!

Well today was my 32nd birthday! Wow.....that sounds soooo old to me! I know it is not, but I can remember being 25 or so and thinking that 32 is getting old. ha! Anyway, I've had a great birthday weekend!
As for starters, Mimi came down Thursday to visit. She kept Casen after lunch and gave me a little time to run out and get a pedicure! It was soooooo relaxing! She says that Casen was great for her, and that he only looked around for me 1 time, but went right back to playing when he couldn't find me! Once I got back home, Mimi cooked a birthday meal for me - shrimp/cheese manicotte (sp), fried okra, butter beans, stewed squash, and strawberry shortcake/ice cream! yummy! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Casen loves his books......this is Mimi having to stop what she was doing to read a book! ha!

Mimi is sooooo FUNNY!

Friday, Brett, Casen, Mimi, and I all got up and headed to the beauty shop for Casen's first haircut! We didn't get a whole lot cut off, we just got it shaped up so that he would look a little more groomed (as his daddy would say)! I just couldn't let the curls go just yet! It did change his look a little though......he looks a little older now! :( After the haircut, Brett and Casen hung out while Mimi and I went shopping. I found a pair of Levi's for $10- now if that is not a bargain I don't know what is! :) We got home and Brett and I had date night.....we went out to Bone Fish and then to the movies for my birthday. I just had to go see Eclipse because I read all of the books and have to see how they were made into movies! So far, all of the movies have been okay...not too disappointing! We had a great time and it was fun to just focus on us for the evening! THANKS SO MUCH MIMI FOR THINKING ABOUT US AND VOLUNTEERING TO KEEP CASEN FOR THE NIGHT!:)

Before....sooooooo cute!

During......not too happy! Not until Mrs. Kristy gave him a sucker!
Finally finished.....Thanks Mrs. Kristy!
Momma's little man....boo hoo! He looks like a big boy now!
Casen and his Mimi (May May)! ha!

Saturday morning, we got up and headed out for the islands with our good friends, Blaine, Ellen, and Mary Ashley. Casen did pretty good......he was a little whinny, but he didn't get his naps in so this was understandable. He went to sleep as soon as we got in the boat to ride back in for the afternoon! Brad, Lenore, Ellie, and Lilly and Ellen's brother, Andrew joined us for the day. The kids had a great time splashing in the water and rolling in the sand. This was the first time that Casen has acted finicky about anything....He would not put his feet down in the sand! :( I hope he gets over this soon!! We were exhausted once we got home everyone got baths, ate supper, and went to bed! Thankfully, Casen slept until 8:00 this morning!:)
Ready to go to the islands!!
Loving the water!
Casen LOVED Lilly!
Two sweet girls and a little stud muffin riding the gator! Can't get enough to drink! Snack time with Momma!

Tired, tired baby!

This morning was my BIRTHDAY.....the boys woke me up with presents in hand! My husband is sooooo sweet! I told him a couple months ago that I would like a daily devotional for women (mothers) for my birthday and of course, he remembered it! Not only did I get one devotional, I got three and I can't wait to read them. He and Casen also bought me two, blue glass beads to go on my bracelet! I love them!! We took a Lowe's and Walmart trip after lunch! Which is great for me....I don't have to go next week! Casen has become a pretty, calm shopper! Thank goodness! This evening, Brett cooked a birthday meal for me....fried chicken strips, home made mashed potatoes, fried okra, stir fried cabbage, and a chocolate chip cookie pie! It was sooooooo good! As you get older and start cooking every night, you tend to appreciate every meal that you don't have to prepare! Thanks for making my birthday weekend sooooo special Brett, Casen and Mimi.......I LOVE ya'll very much!
