Bellingrath Garden's!

Once we got back home from visiting family over the holidays, Brett and I decided to take Casen to Bellingrath Gardens to see the Christmas lights. It was a great decision to take him after Christmas because the walkways were not so congested with people. I think this might end up being a yearly tradition for us. Casen absolutely loved the Christmas lights.....he actually stayed in his wagon the majority of the time because he was so mesmerised by all the lights. We had such a good time....Brett and I went to see the lights before Casen was born but it is so much fun being able to seeing the look of amazement and excitement on your little ones face!

Christmas in Gatlinburg!

Our Christmas trip to Gatlinburg was soooo much fun! We enjoyed spending time with our family and Casen could not get enough of his cousins! Every morning as soon as he woke up, he was asking for Dayton, Delaney, and Darby and of course they were there for his every need! We visited Ober, Gatlinburg, The Dixie Stampede, and Ripley's Aquarium! The kiddos had a great time! We are looking forward to going on many, many more family trips in the future! :)

He was a little overwhelmed and didn't know what to play with first, but he has had no problem fitting everything in since........Ho Ho was a good man this year!! I gues Casen was a GOOD boy!

18 Months

Wow....I know I say it every month but time is absolutely FLYING! We have been sooooo busy this past month that I don't even know where the month of December went! Brett's younger brother, Austin got married on the 11th of this month, then home for the holidays, then to Gatlinburg, and finally back home. I feel like Casen's pack and play has become his new crib and I must say, my little one LOVES his own bed!!

Now for things my little one started doing at 17 months:
*He will take his dirty clothes and put them in his hamper.
*Throw away trash on his own (started at 16 months)
*Knows all of our family members and many of our friends by name and knows who goes with
who. For example, when he says Ausin (Austin).....he always follows with Ray Ray (Rachel).
*He has started calling me "Mommy" instead of "Mama. It is soooo sweet.
*He now tells me when he has poo poo in his diaper......by screaming "POO POO" and grabbing
his diaper. ha!
*Loves to dance......he took over the dance floor at Austin and Rachel's Wedding.
*Can sing along with Barney songs.....so stinking cute.
*Will cuddle up to me and drift off to sleep (Finally....it has only taken 17 months to get some
cuddle time....the boy like to sleep in his own bed, what can I say!)
*Loves for me to sing "Jesus Loves Me" until he is asleep or almost asleep....if I try to leave out
of the the room too early, he screams "Jesussss!"
*Knows the letters C, A, and Y
*Started going up and down steps without holding onto a bar or anything.

Well mannered boy!

This past Sunday, Brett and took Casen to church and when we picked him up from the nursery, we were given the best compliment ever......one of the ladies who was in the nursery made it a point to come straight up to Brett and me and told us that our son was the most well mannered little boy and of course, Brett and I just kind of looked at each other (waiting for her to realize that she had mixed up the little boy with the parent) in amazement and said thank you of course. She went on to tell us that he was the only little 17 month old in the class of 100 that told them "thank you" for his cookie! We were sooooo proud of him and proud that the lady could understand him! ha!

Still playing around with my camera trying to learn the different settings! Here are a few pretty, good shots I have of Casen.........

17 months

My little man is 17 months now.......time just keeps on flying!!! He is sooooo much fun and doing so many things that I don't even know where to begin.

He is saying so many words that I can't even begin to list them all. He is still throwing and doing the majority of things with his left hand so it still seems that we are going to have a lefty.
Just recently while reading his cards, he has started exaggerating animal sounds. It is so funny, he will say "Cat" then follow it up with "MEEEOOOW" or "Tiger" and say "Rrraaaaaa!" If there is a truck or a ball around, he is playing with it! He loves being outside rain, shine, hot, or cold! He is an outside BOY!

He hate having a camera in his face.....but he will just have to get use to that since I finally purchased my new camera!!!! Thanks you so much Santa #1 and Santa #2!!! Now, I have got to take a class or something to learn all of the functions. The following pictures are just me playing around and trying to learn a little. I think they are much better than the ones taken with my old camera!!
