Telluride, CO

Where do I begin..........
Casen was a complete angel on the flights to and from Telluride. He received his first set of pilot's wings from the flight attendant on his first flight over. He loved riding in his mom and daddy's laps all the way over and getting all that two-on-one attention! ha!
Playing in the airport waiting to catch his first flight!

Casen's espression is soooo funny in this picture!

Ready for take off mama!

We took him to three restaurants while we were there and he was an absolute angel at all of them. He had a hard time getting use to the organic baby food they sold there in mountain village. He really liked anything with banana in it but most of the vegetables, we gave up on. He loved the cold weather, eating the snow, the fluffly white chairs, playing with empty water bottles, pulling his socks off and chewing on them, and riding the gondola.

Resturant #1 --- Hamburgers and fries!

Resturant #2 -- Pizza with mama and daddy.
Resturant #3 -----French Food!
Casen's Mimi and Papa D went along with us to keep Casen while Brett and I hit the slopes. We skied three days....Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Needless to say, we were give completely out by Thursday. The skiing was awesome and the views were breathtaking. Brett and I both agreed that Telluride was at the top of our list when it comes to skiing, convience, and beauty! We will definitley go back there some day!

Tube Thursday!

Well, I woke Casen up at 11:45 to feed him last night because I knew he would not be able to eat again until after his procedure. He started to stir around 4:30 a.m. and went back to sleep until 5:30 a.m. His daddy got him out of bed and got him dressed and we headed out to get tubes. I tried to document throughout the day. He did AWESOME! He smiled and carried on the entire time we sat in the waiting room waiting to be called. Once we got to the back, we had to wait around another hour before Casen was carried back to get his tubes. He fell asleep in his daddy's arms before they carried him back for his procedure. It took around 10 minutes and and we were headed back to the waiting room to get our baby. Casen was still asleep when we made it back to him. Brett gently rubbed his head and he woke right up. He cried a little bit until I nursed him. That seemed to satisfy him for a bit and then he started crying a little again. Brett offered him his sippy cup of apple juice and he sucked it down. He has never drank from his sippy cup so well! He drank half of it in the recovery room and finished drinking the rest on the way home. Since we have been home, he has been in such a good mood. He has been talking, smiling, and playing all afternoon AND HE TOOK HIS 1ST 3 HOUR NAP! Wow! Hopefully, this is the beginning to better sleeping habits! I'm not going to hold my breath though! :)

5:55 a.m. leaving the house.

Headed into the clinic!

Sweet baby loves his daddy!

I'm hungry mama!

Give me the rest of that apple juice!

My daddy is the BEST!

Mirror, Mirror

This past week is the first time Casen has noticed himself in the mirror that we have in the car. It is so funny to watch him carry on a conversation with himself and then CRACK up! He thinks that baby in the mirror is sooooo funny!

Bye, Bye / Ma Ma

Casen has been so funny these past couple of days.....he has been saying "bye, bye / bye, bye" and waving his hand. Then he will say, "bye, bye/ ma, maa!" I keep asking where he is going! I'm expecting him to answer me any day! :) He is sooooo sweet!

Pulling Up!

Casen and I went to visit a friend today and while she and I were talking, I looked over to check on him and he was standing up holding on to a chair in her living room. I started cheering for him because he had pulled up all by himself. He sat down as soon as I started cheering and cheered along with me. Then he grabbed a hold of that chair again and up he went! Of course, I had to cheer again for him and he just put on a beaming smile of accomplishment.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I think I have the most thoughtful husband ever!!!! I woke up this morning and found the sweetest Valentine's Day Card , Reese's hearts, and sweettarts. I also found a Nouvea one hour relaxing massage gift certficate (Yolanda is my favorite!). Brett always seems to surprise me....I don't know how he continues to do it after 12 years together. I love him soooooooo much!! Happy Valentine's Day Baby and also to my sweet baby boy!

Brett is finishing up a shut down at work right now so he left around 5:00 a.m. headed to work. I think I will try to get around this morning and take Casen to church and maybe to lunch for Valentine's Day. He loves to get out and about even if he does have ear infections! :)

Tubes!

I feel like every time I post, I'm writing about Casen's ears! I took him to get his ears checked last Wednesday and was told that he had two infected ears AGAIN. This is his 3rd ear infection since the first of December. Anyway, we had an appointment with an ENT yesterday and Casen now has an appointment to get tubes in his ears next Thursday. They did a hearing test on him and it didn't come out all that well because of all the fluid behind his eardrums. Maybe this is why he never listens to me! ha! Hopefully, he will have instant relief with his ears next Thursday because we load a plane to Telluride, CO on Saturday. Please pray that we make it there in one piece! :)

Superbowl at the Gautier's

We had a great time with our friends at the Gautier's last night! It was Casen's first Super Bowl and the saints were playing so we had to get a new Saint's attire. He was too cute in his Saint's outfit, and he was a wonderful baby the entire night. He played so well with the rest of the kiddos there, and he loved Lani and Brian's dogs. It is soooo funny to see how our groups dynamics have changed since we have all started having little ones! :)

Brett is in the middle of a shut down! Unfortunately, he didn't get to see the game from beginning to end, but he did get to watch from half time.
Goooooo Saints!!

Playing in my room!

I Love playing in my room while mama cleans. I have my basket of goodies that I empty out and play with!

Mimi and Me!

This weekend, Mimi (Brett's mom) came to visit and help out with my little man. It didn't take Casen long to warm up to her and start giving her sugar. She also got him to wave bye, bye to her! It was so cute! Friday, she attended Kindermusic with us and we all had a great time dancing, singing, and playing instruments! Today, she kept Casen while Brett and I went to watch "The Blind Side." The movie was great and I think Casen was pretty good for the few hours we were gone. Yay! We are just warming Mimi up for our ski trip in two weeks. She and Papa D will be keeping Casen while Brett and I go skiing. It is going to be interesting to see how Casen handles his first flight and the snow!! Tomorrow, Mimi, Casen, and I plan to go to church. Too bad Brett can't go; he is working a shut down. So, he has pretty much been nonstop for a couple weeks now!

I Love My Mimi!!
