Well, my baby is two days before turning 23 months! I usually wait until he has turned another month before blogging but I just couldn't wait! Today began with Casen waking up around 7 a.m. yelling, "Hold you mommy!" We were at Mimi' s house so Brett ran to his room picked him up and brought him to our bedroom. As soon as he saw me, he said, "Hi Mommy!" Sooooooo sweet! He climbed up in between Brett and me with his two blankets and his baby (teddy bear) and drifted back to sleep until 8:00 a.m. These are such special moments! We all got up and headed to my mammaw's house to go to church with her. Well, we got to church early and there were only a few people in the sanctuary (most were still in Sunday School). Casen was running around burning energy when I realized the microphones were on. So, I took him to the front and held the microphone to his mouth and he sang Jesus Loves Me to everyone sitting in the sanctuary. He received a few cheers so he decided to sing it 3 -4 more times! He was so precious! There is something soooooooo sweet about hearing a little one sing (such pure little voices) especially when it is your little one! I hope that he will always be confident enough to stand up in front of people and sing to them or talk to them about Jesus Christ!
He has started singing sooooooo many songs. Some of his favorites are:
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; You are my Sunshine; The Itsy Bitsy Spider; The Wheels on the Bus; Jesus Loves Me; ABCs; I Love You
He loves to count things....he will start out by saying 7,8,9,2. So we have to get him started by saying 1...then his is pretty good about counting to 10 from there. He recognizes his numbers 1-10 and all of his ABC with the exception of 2 or 3.
He has started CRAZY dancing.....he runs around all crazy like and bobs his head!
He is getting very good at saying "Thanks You" and "Please." He is working on "Yes/No Mam" and "Yes/No Sir."
He LOVES toy cars, trucks, tractors, buses, jeeps, etc. He he has a few of them, he likes to put them in a straight line on the floor.
He sometimes likes to hold my hand in the car for comfort.....especially if I'm not driving. I can reach back, hold his hand, and he is usually asleep within 5 minutes.
He has started working on his colors and is pretty good about getting red, green, blue, and yellow. He will tell you that he and mommy have brown eyes and daddy has blue eyes!
He always says "Hold you mommy!" that means "Hold me mommy!" I guess because I ask him "Do you want me to hold you?" when he is upset. So when he wants to be held, this is what he says.
Foods he loves:
Chicken..... pretty much in any form and especially if we have BBQ for it to be dipped in.
Rice
Chinese (LOVES IT!)
Spaghetti
Fruit (any kind)
Broccoli, Squash, and corn are his fav. vegtables
Can climb the ladder and slide on his swing set. He can also climb the ladder and get on the first bar of the monkey bars. He hangs there until I help him across.
He LOVES our extended family members. He knows who goes with who and there are a pretty good many of us!
He has been reciting his night time prayer after me every night but he is starting to say it along with me a little more now!
He is a DARE DEVIL! Always climbing up stuff and swinging from stuff.
I will be crying next month when I update this blog on what my little one is up to......He will be the "BIG 2!" My how time flies once you have a little one!

Splash Pad
Casen, Madison, and I had a wonderful time at the splash pad with our friends Rebecca, Graham, Jake, Hannah, Parker, and Carter this past week. A short brake from the water fun to eat a healthy lunch.....apples and strawberries, yum, yum! We also had cheese balls and fruit snacks....not too healthy! Madison was such a sweet, little girl....she climbed up in the chair with Casen and fed him cheese balls! He is such a GUY! ha!
